Medication Technician

Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately and on time according to physician orders, regulations, and company policies
• Maintain accurate medication records, MARs, and resident documentation
• Communicate with pharmacies, physicians, nurses, and families regarding resident care and medication needs
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, meals, and mobility
• Build meaningful relationships with residents through conversation, activities, and daily interactions
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment
• Support dining, activities, housekeeping, and other community needs as necessary
• Uphold resident dignity, choice, privacy, and rights at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience working with seniors preferred
• CNA or applicable caregiving/medication experience preferred
• Ability to complete required Medication Technician training
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Food Handler certification
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Genuine passion for working with seniors
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet applicable state health and regulatory requirements
• Pre-employment screening may include a background check, TB screening, physical examination, and drug screening, as applicable

Pay

$23.15/hour for all Medication Technician Shifts
