Responsibilities
- Help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting.
- Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
- Administer medications safely and accurately within your certification and scope of practice.
- Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Create meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere.
- Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events.
- Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
- Earn exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined.
- Deliver care that is professional, respectful, timely, and personalized.
- Help create an environment where every resident feels valued and cared for.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Medication Technician credentials, required as applicable by state and assignment.
- One or more years of experience administering medication, highly preferred.
- One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly preferred.
- One or more years of experience working with seniors, highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Medication Technician credentials, required as applicable by state and assignment.
