Medication Tech Full Time

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
• Administers treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures, and collects specimens as directed.
• Reports and documents observations and treatment results as necessary.
• Transports, escorts, and responds to signal lights promptly.
• Cleans and maintains room cleanliness and orderliness.
• Safely prepares, administers, and charts oral, topical, and suppository medications.
• Checks and prepares doses immediately before administration.

Requirements

• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course, and relevant continuing education courses, when applicable.
• Ability to comprehend and adhere to instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Capacity to document the care provided.
• Medication Technician certification with requisite testing and observation hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent degree.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course, and when applicable, the continuing education course.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Medication Tech Certification with testing/observation hours required.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Starting Salary: $22.00/hour
