Medication Aide - On-Call

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: Safely provide medications according to physician orders and residents’ care plans.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Document medication administration clearly and correctly.
• Monitor Well‑Being: Observe residents for changes, side effects, or concerns and report them promptly.
• Support Daily Living: Assist residents with personal needs while protecting their dignity and independence.
• Build Connections: Develop meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Create a Positive Environment: Bring compassion, patience, and positive energy to each shift.

Requirements

• Required Credentials: Meet all Nebraska certification, training, and registry requirements for Medication Aides.
• Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Follow medication procedures carefully and maintain accurate documentation.
• Basic Computer Skills: Use electronic systems for medication tracking and documentation.
• Heart for Seniors: Have a genuine interest in helping older adults live their best lives.
• Flexibility: Be available to pick up shifts as needed, including some weekends and holidays.
• Minimum Availability: Work at least two shifts per month.

Schedule

On‑call, flexible as‑needed scheduling; minimum of two shifts per month; availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
