Medication Aide (CNA required) - PRN (As Needed) - Eventide Prairie Commons

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is hiring for a PRN (As Needed) Medication Aide (MA40). The position requires at least 24 hours per month, with 16 of those hours on a weekend, and 1 holiday per year.

Requirements

• Active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license in the state of Nebraska
• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence
• Assists with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation
• Prioritizes assignments and adjusts throughout shift to meet changing needs, including responding to call lights
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment as directed, regardless of preference
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan for each individual senior/client
• Complies with HIPAA regulations to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments under the direction of an RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures

Pay

Competitive starting pay range of $19.00–$21.28 per hour for Medication Aides, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions, paid based on employment status and shift worked.
