Medication Aide Certified
About the role
The Medication Aide Certified will safely and accurately administer medications to residents/patients as directed by licensed nursing staff or physicians, under direct supervision, while adhering to protocols and promoting well-being.
Responsibilities include preparing and administering prescribed oral, topical, and non-injectable medications, meticulously verifying the five rights. The role also involves maintaining accurate medication records, ensuring proper storage and security, and assisting with activities of daily living as needed.
To be successful, the Medication Aide Certified should exhibit strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a compassionate approach. Excellent observation, documentation, and communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to patient safety and teamwork are essential.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience required in similar position or related field
- Medication Aide: NE, upon hire

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Medication Aide Certified
