Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Presents staff in-services relating to medication administration and nursing issues
- Ensures compliance with all state and regulatory reporting requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Minimum of 3-5 yrs exp. in a clinical setting, preferably serving individuals with developmental and physical disabilities
- Ability to attend the Department of Developmental Services Endorsed Instructor training course
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Current State of CT RN License
- The Nurse must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Essential Functions
- Ensures confidentiality as required by Law, The Arc ECT, and DDS policies and procedures
- Treats all individuals in an age-appropriate manner, with respect and dignity
- Maintains a professional and positive attitude when working with staff
- Works with a spirit of cooperation with all departments
- Carrries own malpractice insurance
- Carrries out all job responsibilities in a professional manner
- Maintains attendance. Adheres to policies on attendance, days of absence, and illness
- Keeps supervisor informed of any significant events or the need to modify any area of the operation/activity
