Medication Administration Nurse - Per Diem

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Presents staff in-services relating to medication administration and nursing issues
• Ensures compliance with all state and regulatory reporting requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Minimum of 3-5 yrs exp. in a clinical setting, preferably serving individuals with developmental and physical disabilities
• Ability to attend the Department of Developmental Services Endorsed Instructor training course
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Current State of CT RN License
• The Nurse must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Essential Functions

• Ensures confidentiality as required by Law, The Arc ECT, and DDS policies and procedures
• Treats all individuals in an age-appropriate manner, with respect and dignity
• Maintains a professional and positive attitude when working with staff
• Works with a spirit of cooperation with all departments
• Carrries own malpractice insurance
• Carrries out all job responsibilities in a professional manner
• Maintains attendance. Adheres to policies on attendance, days of absence, and illness
• Keeps supervisor informed of any significant events or the need to modify any area of the operation/activity
