About the role

We are hiring a Loader/Unloader for our medical-waste treatment facility at 6611 Chandlery St, Baltimore, MD 21224. The role involves loading and unloading containers, emptying and washing them, weighing incoming shipments, and operating treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lift containers weighing up to 55 lbs and push four-wheeled carts up to 200 lbs
  • Weigh incoming sharps and medical-waste containers
  • Load and operate the autoclave machine (a pressure chamber that melts materials)
  • Load the Washsmart container-washing and sanitization system
  • Complete accurate paperwork for container processing
  • Stand for extended periods while wearing PPE
  • Work collaboratively with the team

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous warehouse or labor-intensive experience, including repetitive lifting of 50–75 lb containers
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and record weights accurately
  • Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and wear PPE
  • Proven employment longevity and a can-do attitude
