Medical Waste Operator - 2nd Shift 3PM to 11:30PM

About the role

Daniels' medical waste treatment facility in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Loader/Unloader. This role involves checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

Responsibilities

• Lifting 55lb bins and pushing a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers
• Load and operate the autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Load the Washsmart system (container washing and sanitization system)
• Provide attention to detail with the paperwork required to process containers
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Work well with a team

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Previous experience in a warehouse labor-intensive job with repetitive lifting of 50lb to 75lb containers
• Willingness to take a 5-panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7-year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in PPE
• Proven longevity with employers
• Can-do attitude
