About the role

The position is incentive eligible with a salary range of $102,336.00 - $173,992.00 per year. HCA HealthONE AirLife Critical Care Denver invests in its team members with up to $300 million in programs over three years.

Responsibilities

  • Works in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Operations in leading day-to-day operations, including strategic partnerships/affiliations, vendor management, and Enterprise contracting.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to design processes, systems, procedures, and operational changes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer/patient satisfaction.
  • Identifies best practices and opportunities to scale, creates standard operating procedures and key performance indicators, and tracks such.
  • Supports team development, including working with Medical Transportation Education and Infrastructure colleagues to develop training.
  • Analyzes all aspects of department processes for potential improvement opportunities and communicates these to the Sr. Director of Operations.
  • Supports capacity management and patient throughput, identifies and develops recommendations for optimal patient care and growth, and coordinates with the Sr. Director of Operations to establish realistic expectations and measurable objectives.
  • Supports the development and implementation of expense management processes and strategies, ensuring alignment with objectives and budgets set by CFOs and Department/Enterprise leadership.
  • Collaborates with division emergency preparedness and supports the PLC and Medical Transport team objectives, including routine in-person support in the Enterprise EOC.
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable regulatory bodies and organizational legal and compliance requirements, including program-specific accreditation standards or requirements and respective state EMS agencies, DEA, and HCA Healthcare, Inc. legal and compliance standards.
  • Develops and recommends technological enhancements and/or replacements to support medical transportation operations.
  • Assists with the development of local strategic plans and new programs/services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience in healthcare, operations, and/or medical transportation leadership, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Leadership positions in roles where building and leveraging key relationships was a responsibility, and driving a strategic initiative.
  • EMT-P or RN licensure, preferred.
  • Strong strategic acumen, analytical skills, and ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated competency in business finance, including budgeting and projections.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
  • Proven ability to manage, train, and develop a team.
