Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Scientist - FT Night

Role Overview: Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality assurance. Maintains equipment, records, and adheres to established protocols, with potential supervisory and teaching responsibilities within the lab. Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate patient and quality assurance testing, correct specimen identification, and proper documentation of QA investigations and trends.Report lab data accurately within turnaround times, interpreting results in clinical context.Maintain instrumentation and participate in performance improvement initiatives, inspection readiness, and cost-efficient practices.Stay current with training, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, including safety standards.Contribute to laboratory performance and inspection readiness activities, including method analysis and procedure development.Participate in meetings, committees, and ongoing education requirements. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science; Master’s preferred.Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent are required upon hire.Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.Proficiency in computer/data entry, communication with healthcare team, and basic software skills (Excel, Word). Experience with Epic and 3M is a plus.
