Medical Technologist II - Molecular Pathology Laboratory

About the Role

A Clinical Laboratory Technologist specializing in cytogenetics testing, including cell culture, FISH, and karyotyping. Other tests may be performed based on lab needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct STAT and routine complex laboratory testing on biological specimens using manual and automated methods.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient results.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate testing and interpret results.
• Support operational activities to maintain testing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health field, with completion of a clinical training program.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a clinical lab is advantageous.
• Valid Florida license in Cytogenetics or Molecular Biology is required, with certification from recognized agencies.

Schedule

Pay

Compensation ranges from $32.43 to $48.66 per hour.
