Medical Technologist II - Laboratory

About the role

Perform STAT and routine complex laboratory tests on biological specimens using manual and automated methods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient results.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate testing and interpret results.
• Support operational activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health field.
• Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program.
• State of Florida Clinical Technologist license in relevant areas.
• Preferred certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.

Skills

• Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to work with machinery, perform fine motor tasks, distinguish colors, and tolerate exposure to chemicals, infection hazards, and patient contact.
