About the role
Perform STAT and routine complex laboratory tests on biological specimens using manual and automated methods.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate testing and interpret results.
- Support operational activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health field.
- Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program.
- State of Florida Clinical Technologist license in relevant areas.
- Preferred certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent.
Skills
- Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to work with machinery, perform fine motor tasks, distinguish colors, and tolerate exposure to chemicals, infection hazards, and patient contact.
