About the Role
Under the supervision of the Manager of the Rapid Response Laboratory, provides support for clinical activities by performing and interpreting moderate and high complexity laboratory tests as per CLIA '88 standards. The role involves conducting a limited range of Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology tests in the Rapid Response Lab.
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret complex clinical laboratory tests accurately.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies such as JC, CAP, FDA, and AABB.
- Review and calibrate laboratory instruments; perform calculations and specimen preparations.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and colleagues regarding test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry.
- One to two years of clinical laboratory experience depending on degree.
- Knowledge of clinical tests, standards, and CLIA regulations.
Skills
- Preferred experience in bacteriology and molecular diagnostics.
- ASCP certification is highly desirable.
- Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
