Medical Technologist - Full-Time

About the role

Perform accurate clinical laboratory analyses on blood, urine, body fluids, and tissues to support physician diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing accurately and promptly, interpret results in clinical context, and communicate critical findings to medical staff.
• Conduct quality control, routine and advanced instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and reagent preparation.
• Maintain inventory, manage computer functions for testing workflows, and support laboratory compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide instruction in laboratory science and rotations as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (full license within 24 months if provisional).
• Preferred certification by ASCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and regulatory knowledge.

Physical demands

Medium work involving walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds as necessary.

Pay

$34.00 - $45.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
