Medical Technologist- Evening Shift
About the role
The Medical Technologist position at MultiCare is an excellent technical opportunity responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution. This role requires a service-committed individual with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to perform complex data analysis, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive specimens and establish positive identification of specimens
- Determine the suitability of specimens
- Acquire/prepare reagents as needed
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required)
- Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
- Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), or AMT or MT (AAB) (required)
- Specialist Certification in discipline (preferred)
- Specialist Hematology, SH (ASCP), Microbiology, SM (ASCP), Specialist BldBnking, SBB (ASCP), Tech Chemistry, SC (ASCP) (preferred)

Pay and Benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale is $35.87 - $51.61 USD. Factors influencing pay include skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. For positions associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale based on years of experience.
