About the role

A Medical Laboratory Scientist responsible for performing accurate laboratory tests, promoting quality and safety, and supporting laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical testing, manage quality control, oversee instrument validation and troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
  • Assist leadership with administrative tasks, workflow management, and process improvements using lean principles.
  • Participate in quality audits, regulatory preparations, and perform proficiency testing and bias assessments.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, providing feedback and supporting professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
  • Certification from ASCP or equivalent.
  • Eligible for Georgia supervisor classification.
