Medical Technologist (Core Lab)

About the Role

This position is for a Medical Technologist in the Core Laboratory at a pediatric hospital, performing routine and specialized tests with a focus on quality improvement, customer service, and timely reporting of results.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests independently or with minimal supervision.
• Recognize the clinical significance of test results and report them promptly.
• Support departmental quality improvement and customer service goals.
• Conduct tests accurately and report findings within established timeframes.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and support department objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or a related field.
• Valid Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Understanding of age-specific patient needs in a pediatric setting.
