Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by conducting and analyzing laboratory tests. This role is instrumental in providing critical data for our physicians and healthcare professionals to make informed decisions about the treatment of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
- Prepare and analyze samples, such as blood, urine, and tissue, for testing.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and cell counters.
- Implement, evaluate, and improve laboratory procedures and techniques for optimum patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests performed, interpret and analyze results.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to discuss test results and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Adhere to safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in medical technology.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Valid California License as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in automated and manual testing procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality obligations and standards.
- Proficiency in using clinical information management systems.

Pay
$95,000 - $140,000 per year
