Medical Technologist-Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Performs testing and test procedures according to established policies and guidelines
• Interprets quality control results and instrument function
• Completes scheduled preventive maintenance duties
• Provides assistance and guidance involving repairs, validations, and function checks and works with vendors as appropriate
• Colls blood specimens, etc. from laboratory outpatients
• Aids and completes investigations involving unexpected or adverse outcomes and keeps documentation according to regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree with major in Medical Technology or related science required.
• Experience: Less than one year.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by Board of Registry of ASCP or equivalent due upon hire or within one (1) year from date of hire required.
