Medical Technologist - Blood Bank

About the Role

Full-time Medical Technologist position on the evening shift, providing ancillary support in a high-volume Blood Bank department within a trauma setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blood Bank Transfusion Service testing
• Interpret moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory tests
• Support clinical activities in a busy trauma environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related applied sciences
• Completion of a clinical internship
• Preferred certification by ASCP, NCA, or equivalent
• At least one year of clinical laboratory experience with a Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science degree; two years if degree is in Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry

Skills

• Ability to respond rapidly to high workload demands
• Proficient in interpreting complex laboratory tests
• Capable of working under general supervision
