Medical Technologist - Blood Bank

We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Blood Bank team in a part-time role, performing clinical laboratory testing of moderate to highly complex specimens.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated equipment and perform clinical laboratory testing of moderate to highly complex specimens
• Interpret test results and identify abnormal findings
• Follow established laboratory procedures and protocols
• Recognize and report critical values
• Perform quality control and quality assurance activities
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments
• Troubleshoot technical issues and equipment malfunctions
• Act as charge technologist when assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or a related field
• Completion of an approved medical technology training program
• Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or eligibility to obtain certification
