Medical Technologist

Ellipse Diagnostics is a laboratory management company that manages, staffs, and oversees multiple labs across the country.

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Technologist with generalist experience. LCMS or PCR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform all paperwork, technical, and non-technical procedures required to process and submit specimens.
• Assign specific computer-generated identification numbers, check for accuracy, and record all items processed.
• Learn and maintain familiarity with lab procedures and the location of stored specimens.
• Maintain, properly use, and troubleshoot instrumentation and all laboratory equipment (e.g., automation machines, centrifuge, pipettes, fume hood, LIS).
• Comply with all QC/QA procedures as outlined in Policy & Procedure documentation.
• Prepare solutions and standards per Procedure documentation located in the laboratory.
• Certify data (review and quantify data) generated from instruments and troubleshoot data that does not meet criteria in Policy & Procedure documentation.
• Use the LIS to send final reports to facilities requesting testing, ensuring all ordered tests, test performed, and certified data are correct.
• Comply with all Florida Department of Health, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel requirements for Technologist license and AAB Medical Technologist requirements.
• Must be able to lift or pull over 25 pounds and sit or stand for 8 hours.
• Perform other projects or duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Lab Director.

Requirements

• English must be spoken clearly and written legibly; effective communication with physician offices, staff, and patients/clients is required.
• State of Florida MT license (see Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel; 64B3-5 Technologist: General).

Pay

Starting at $65,000.00 per year. Negotiable depending on experience.

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
• Holidays

This is a full-time, in-person position requiring a Medical Technologist license/certification.
