About the role
Responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Works under the supervision of a medical technologist or physician.
Responsibilities
- Prepares specimens for testing
- Operates automated and manual laboratory equipment
- Interprets test results and reports findings to healthcare providers
- Maintains accurate and complete patient records
- Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
