Medical Technologist

Role: Performs quality diagnostic laboratory testing on a variety of specimens to support healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Include Demonstrating clinical competencies to perform and analyze laboratory tests/procedures.Preparing reagents, standards, and controls per procedures.Conducting timely test analysis and maintaining instruments through calibration and standardization.Researching and developing new procedures as assigned.Adhering to safety, hospital, department, and laboratory policies.Utilizing computer systems for daily operations.Training new staff and contributing to team efforts for quality and productivity.Performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED, with a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field; ASCP eligible preferred.Pathway I: Medical Laboratory training from the U.S. Military or equivalent.Pathway II: Biological Science degree with accredited training and certification eligibility.Pathway III: Laboratory training from military, with relevant education and certification.Pathway IV: High school diploma or GED, with military medical lab training and related degrees. Experience: Preferably over one year in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis in accredited labs.
