About the Role
Seeking a Medical Technologist to be a part of our laboratory team. This position will interact with the existing quality med techs at LRH and be a contributor toward improving the health and well-being of patients in the Iowa Great Lakes region.
Opportunity to work alongside qualified techs in a clean and comfortable environment.
Team has scored 100% on the last three CMS - CLIA Standard Inspections.
Responsibilities
- Specimen collection and processing
- Timely test analysis
- Maintaining records of patient test results
- Performing proficiency testing
- Maintaining records that demonstrate they are handled in the same manner as patient samples
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology preferred.
- One year in a hospital setting is beneficial.
Qualifications
- A training program in medical technology
- Board certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists, HEW or other equivalent certification body.
