Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis of all body fluids and tissues.
- Determine the reliability of all analytic data before releasing as patient measurements for diagnosis and treatment.
- Interpret information to make judgmental decisions and troubleshoot technical procedures and instruments.
- Utilize knowledge of medical correlations, laboratory parameters, physiologic factors, medication effects, and specific medical treatments to assess the validity of laboratory data.
- Utilize appropriate testing techniques to evaluate new testing methodologies and practices.
- Demonstrate safety and infection control practices.
- Aid in gathering test data for evaluation of new methods and installation of equipment.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences (Required)
- ASCP - American Society for Clinical Pathology - American Society for Clinical Pathology, MLT - Medical Laboratory Technologist Certification - American Society for Clinical Pathology
Qualifications
- Experience followed by successful completion of the Board of Registry examination of the American Society for Clinical Pathologists.
- Continuing Education and Competencies.
- Maintain competencies, mandatory educational requirements (ACE).
