Medical Technologist, ASCP

About the role

The Medical Technologist I performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to quality control protocols and maintaining laboratory instruments.
• Supports patient care by completing tests efficiently, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting in data collection for regulatory compliance.
• May include teaching new employees and students and performing phlebotomy duties as needed.

Requirements

• Medical Technologist I Shift: Nights Fri-Sat-Sun 6pm-6:30am 12 hour Nights 13 Week Assignment Required
• Certifications: BLS | ASCP - Medical Technologist, or Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)-AMT (strongly preferred)
• Experience: Preferred Experience in Hospital Setting
