- The Medical-Surgical Explorer Program is a 13-week rotational residency designed for new graduate Registered Nurses seeking a supportive, dynamic start to their nursing career.
- Nurses are centrally hired into the program and rotate through three inpatient med-surg units, allowing for hands-on experience, reflection, and exploration before selecting a permanent home unit.
- What Makes This Program Unique: Centralized hire with rotational exposure to 3 unique units. Extended clinical integration (13 weeks total) to promote deep learning and relationship building, Structured mentorship and weekly check-ins, Participation in URMC Med-Surg Residency post-unit match, Collaborative matching process between nurses and unit leadership, Optional Flex Team shadow experience for eligible candidates.
- Program Structure: Unit 1: 5-week immersion, Unit 2 & 3: 4-week rotations, Unit match: Finalized at end of program based on shared feedback between nurse and leadership.
Pay
- The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
