About the role

This position involves answering scheduling telephones, scheduling, canceling, or rescheduling patient appointments, and assisting the Case Management Team in various office duties.

Responsibilities

  • Answers scheduling telephones.
  • Schedules, cancels or reschedules patient appointments using the Scheduling Guidelines or routes the calls to appropriate department or party in a professional manner.
  • Affords support to the Case Management Team in various office duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: One year experience in a position that requires dealing with the public preferred. Previous switchboard experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • License, Certification, Registration: None required.
  • Equipment/Tools: Computer, Multiline telephone system, copy/print/scan machine and other general office equipment.
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Able to communicate with easy medical terms for patients. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Yup'ik speaker preferred.
