Medical Support Specialist - BH

About the role

BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our outstanding and compassionate team at the Adult Treatment Center in New Port Richey, FL.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for medical providers by obtaining vitals, assisting with treatment planning, assisting with patient assistance program applications, completing outcomes, patient messages and authorizations
• Conducts face to face visits with patients and receives medical and mental health records
• May be responsible for screening the patient for TMS, obtaining prior authorization for treatment, providing daily treatments for TMS patients and all appropriate documentation and coordination of services for the TMS program
• Works closely with the medical provider assessing patients for TMS services to coordinating services

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• High School or Equivalent
• FL Driver's License
• 1 year - Medical Office (required)
• Associate's in Healthcare/Psychology (preferred)
