Medical Supply Account manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Medical Supply Account Manager is a full-time, mid-career level position based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers while actively securing new customers through in-person visits and phone outreach. The Account Manager will focus specifically on the Urological supply landscape, calling on complex rehab centers, spina bifida centers, hospital and hospital systems, and urological specialists and centers. This is a regular, at-will employment position with a competitive annual salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Secure orders from existing and potential customers by visiting customer facilities and similar accounts specific to the Urological landscape.
- Proactively identify and secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements, as well as follow up by phone or in-person visit on customer inquiries and patients needs.
- Establish and maintain professional customer and vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel, including those in purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key departments.
- Submit detailed activity and call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and issues concerning customer and vendor relationships.
- Prepare lost business and territory sales forecast reports, and meet all set productivity and performance standards, including staying current with funding requirements and technological advances within the Urological Supply industry.
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS
- The Medical Supply Account Manager must be highly mobile and able to access all areas of the premises.
- The role requires the ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects simultaneously.
- The candidate must be able to work more than eight hours in a workday and over 40 hours in a work week as necessary to meet goals and deadlines.
- The ability to read, comprehend, and follow both written and verbal instructions is essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong outside sales and territory management skills within the medical supply or urological supply industry.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional customer and vendor relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer follow-up, reporting, and presentations.
- Proficiency in preparing and submitting activity and call reports, sales forecasts, and lost business reports.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of outside sales experience in the Urological supply industry or a closely related medical supply field.
- Demonstrated experience calling on complex rehab centers, spina bifida centers, hospital and hospital systems, and urological specialists and centers.
- Proven track record of securing orders from both existing and new customers through in-person visits and phone outreach.
- Experience preparing and submitting territory sales forecasts and lost business reports.
- Background in establishing and maintaining professional relationships with customer personnel across purchasing, management, quality assurance, and other key departments.
- Experience managing customer inquiries and patient needs through timely follow-up via phone and in-person visits.
- History of meeting or exceeding productivity and performance standards in a sales territory role.
- Experience working within approved budgets and contributing to organizational revenue and profitability goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated experience adhering to confidentiality requirements and compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Experience utilizing leadership principles and company values to guide professional conduct and decision-making.
