Medical Supervisor

About the role

The Medical Supervisor will ensure the quality of services provided to patients, oversee the productivity of prescribers, and recommend and implement changes that improve service delivery. In partnership with the Clinic Director, you will oversee day-to-day clinic operations, drive a culture of positive impact, and implement continual improvements within our 5-Star clinic performance structure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an effective staff by providing leadership, guidance, and resources in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Determine staff qualifications and competency: recruit, interview, select, hire, train, orient, mentor, evaluate, coach, counsel, discipline, and reward.
• Establish and monitor staff safety and regulatory compliance.
• Direct daily operations of assigned unit(s), schedule peer reviews, and ensure adequate prescriber coverage while the clinic is open.
• Ensure practice guidelines and safe prescribing habits are consistent among prescribers.
• Oversee quality assurance in medication management, maintaining standards of care and documentation.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve service delivery and new programming.
• Ensure at least 5 peer reviews per provider are completed each month.
• Provide clinical expertise in crisis intervention, skills for working with chronically mentally ill populations, and individuals/families undergoing acute psychiatric distress.
• Demonstrate familiarity with community support systems, healthcare and human service resources, and coordination with courts and police.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral-level degree (PA, NP, MD, DO).
• At least three years of professional experience in mental health or human services.
• Experience managing others preferred.
• Current DEA number required.
• Appropriate professional registration/certification by state/national authority required.

Pay

Annual compensation: $140,000 - $154,000 (base salary plus bonus), depending on experience. Additional benefits include a $5,000 retention bonus and relocation bonus availability.
