Major/Essential Functions

• Manage lab operations
• Support team members
• Curate data
• Conduct experiments
• Conduct data searches

Required Qualifications

• 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year Medical Student
• Experience in molecular and genetic biology techniques, including DNA/RNA isolation, PCR/RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, cloning, restriction digestion, ligation, and gene expression analysis
• Trained in immunology and microbiology methods, including bacterial culturing, Gram staining, biochemical and ATP assays, antibiotic susceptibility testing, immunodiffusion, and blood cell analysis
• Background in animal cell and tissue culture, including work with cell lines, primary cultures, transfections, cytotoxicity assays, micropropagation, and callus induction

Pay

Pay Basis: Hourly
Pay Grade: Minimum $15.00, Maximum $25.00
Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
