About the Role
As a Medical Specialist (Sales Representative) in Gastroenterology, you will report to the District Manager, Gastroenterology. You will engage Gastroenterologists and other key customers within an assigned geographical territory, presenting clinically focused selling messages to create and grow revenue while consistently delivering product goals. The role requires strong and consistent sales performance exceeding forecast and expectations, accomplished in a compliant manner with high integrity, adhering to all Regeneron policies and U.S. regulations governing pharmaceutical and biologic product promotion.
You will develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts in the Gastroenterology therapeutic area to generate product utilization. Building strong working relationships with experts, Gastroenterologists, nurses, office staff, and key patient advocacy groups in your assigned geography is essential. Collaboration with district colleagues, alliance counterparts, and other field-based or home office teams is required to address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends while supporting brand and corporate objectives.
You will participate in and help lead initiatives to support sales success, such as industry-related congresses, local and regional meetings, and medical conferences.
Responsibilities
- Engage Gastroenterologists and key customers within an assigned territory to drive revenue growth and meet product goals.
- Develop and execute strategies within key accounts in the Gastroenterology therapeutic area to generate product utilization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Gastroenterologists, healthcare professionals, office staff, and patient advocacy groups.
- Collaborate with district colleagues, alliance partners, and internal teams to address customer needs and market trends.
- Participate in and lead initiatives such as industry congresses, medical conferences, and regional meetings.
- Demonstrate advanced clinically-based selling skills and maintain compliance with all Regeneron policies and U.S. regulations.
- Travel and cover large geographic territories as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or other advanced education/certifications a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years in the Gastroenterology market or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market.
- Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments.
- Experience navigating and demonstrating positive impact with large groups, institutional settings, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of success in product launches.
- Passion and aptitude for learning science, disease states, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
- Experience in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
- Ability to partner and collaborate with internal field teams and alliance partners.
- High degree of integrity and adherence to compliance guidelines.

Pay
Salary Range (annually): $143,500.00 - $187,500.00.
Schedule
This is a field-based role requiring travel and coverage of large geographic territories. Many roles at Regeneron are required to be performed on-site; please discuss on-site expectations with your recruiter and hiring manager.
