Medical Social Worker - Part-Time

About the role

The Medical Social Worker applies social work expertise and clinical knowledge to educate patients living with kidney disease, supporting their treatment choices, health, and wellness to improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments.
• Participate in care planning.
• Review patients' psychosocial needs.
• Manage services to help patients cope with chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatments.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution (MSW required).
• LCSW/ACSW preferred (LCSW preferred in CA).
• Licensure or LMSW in applicable states (e.g., TX, TN).
• Preferable experience in health and human services or medical settings.
• At least one year of experience in behavioral or healthcare‑related roles.
