Responsibilities

• Schedule follow up/return visits to the office for patients.
• Obtain appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations, as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients (e.g., interventional invasive cardiology procedures, electrophysiology, etc.).
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures with patient so patient has clear understanding of what is expected.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and give instructions over phone with follow‑up letter with instructions.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, online paging systems; retrieve information from other hospital systems.
• Hold in confidence all matters concerning patients according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Exhibit friendly and helpful behavior.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
• Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
• Two (2) years of scheduling in a multi‑specialty clinic (preferred)
