About the role
We are delighted to offer three new positions within our Medical Rota Administration Team, supporting services across University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and organised individuals to play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medical staffing across Acute Services.
You will work closely with clinicians, managers, HR, and medical staff to support the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Strong organisational skills and the ability to respond to changing service demands are essential.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain medical staffing rotas and on-call arrangements
- Act as a key point of contact for rota queries from medical staff
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams to ensure safe staffing levels and rota compliance
- Monitor and record leave, sickness absence, and study leave
- Support the booking and management of locum medical staff
- Maintain accurate records using rota systems and national reporting requirements
- Help deliver improvements in rota efficiency and workforce planning
Requirements
- Experience working in a busy administrative environment
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Schedule
36.00 hours per week.
