Medical Reviewer - Immunology/Rheumatology
This position is 100% remote.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Reviewer to support U.S. Medical Affairs within the Immunology/Rheumatology therapeutic area. This position is responsible for the scientific and medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure medical accuracy, appropriate scientific substantiation, and compliance with applicable corporate standards and industry regulations.

- Perform medical and scientific review of promotional, non-promotional, medical, commercial, congress, and other scientific materials.
- Provide medical oversight to ensure materials are scientifically accurate, appropriately substantiated, and compliant with corporate standards and applicable regulations.
- Review promotional claims and supporting scientific references for medical accuracy and appropriate interpretation of clinical data.
- Manage Medical Review requests and workflows through Veeva PromoMats, ensuring reviews are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs leads to ensure promotional and non-promotional materials align with overall medical and scientific strategy.
- Partner with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders throughout the material review and approval process.
- Meet with requesting teams to discuss review comments, clarify scientific or medical concerns, resolve discrepancies, and support timely approval of materials.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to Commercial teams regarding promotional claims, scientific content, product information, and related initiatives.
- Incorporate current scientific and medical information into departmental resources and materials.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records associated with Medical Review activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of direct Medical Review experience within Medical Affairs.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Medical Reviewer for promotional and medical/non-promotional materials.
- Hands-on experience with Veeva PromoMats.
- Professional experience within Immunology.
- Experience reviewing scientific claims, clinical data, references, and supporting documentation.
- Experience collaborating with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong scientific judgment with the ability to clearly communicate medical review decisions and required revisions.
- Ability to manage multiple review requests and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Master's degree or higher required. Relevant advanced degrees may include MS in Biology/Chemistry or a related scientific discipline, PharmD, PhD, or MD.
Qualifications
- Rheumatology experience (strongly preferred).
- Previous experience conducting Medical Review within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Experience with Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) or Promotional Review Committee (PRC) processes.
- Experience reviewing congress materials, commercial materials, ISAs, and other Medical Affairs content.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will be an experienced pharmaceutical Medical Reviewer who has personally owned the medical/scientific review of promotional and non-promotional materials—not simply supported an MLR process. Candidates should bring substantial Medical Affairs review experience, Veeva PromoMats expertise, and a strong Immunology background. Direct Rheumatology experience is highly desirable. Candidates with extensive Medical Review experience are encouraged to apply; there is no upper limit on years of experience for this opportunity.
