Medical Renal Pathologist - Subspecialty Faculty Position
About the role
The Department of Pathology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center (UHCMC) and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine is seeking an academic pathologist with expertise in Medical Renal Pathology.
Applicants should be board-certified in AP or AP/CP with fellowship training in Medical Renal Pathology (or equivalent experience) and qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Ohio. Both recent graduates and more experienced pathologists are encouraged to apply.
Opportunities exist to participate in other subspecialty services if desired. The successful candidate will join our team of sub-specialty pathologists including one current medical renal pathologist.
Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with the clinical specialist in the UH Transplant Institute, UH Nephrology, and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Division of Pediatric Nephrology.
- Participate in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students in both the Department of Pathology and our collaborating clinical services.
- Involvement in clinical, translational, or basic research is encouraged including numerous opportunities to participate in established collaborative translational research projects.
Requirements
- Board-certified in AP or AP/CP with fellowship training in Medical Renal Pathology (or equivalent experience).
- Qualified for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Ohio.
- Experience in Medical Renal Pathology.
Qualifications
- PhD in Medical Science or related field preferred.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring.
