About the role
As a Medical Records Coordinator in a long-term care facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility's administrative processes. You will coordinate various medical office activities, manage patient information, interact with residents and their families, and support healthcare professionals to provide quality care to residents. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and interpersonal abilities will be essential in maintaining a high standard of service.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining electronic and physical medical records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in a thorough and timely manner
- Providing resident care support
- Scheduling resident appointments and consultations
- Managing and facilitating on-site health drive clinics
- Conducting insurance reviews
- Scanning documents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in medical records preferred
- Long-term care facility experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities to manage a variety of tasks efficiently
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software applications
