As the nation's leading urgent care provider with over 200 clinics across 26 states, we're looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to be the face of our clinic and the first step in our patient-first approach.

Responsibilities

  • Meticulously verify coverage BEFORE services are provided, preventing claim denials, and maximizing revenue capture
  • Excel at financial counseling by confidently explaining costs, billing processes, and insurance complexities to patients in a way they understand
  • Solve billing problems proactively by identifying and resolving insurance discrepancies and billing issues before they impact revenue
  • Drive patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional service even during difficult financial conversations - keeping patients happy while handling payment matters
  • Own the front desk flow by processing payments, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-ins with lightning efficiency
  • Protect patient information by maintaining organized records while strictly following HIPAA regulations

Requirements

  • Experience with insurance verification and medical billing (non-negotiable)
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts to frustrated patients with empathy and clarity
  • Obsessively detail-oriented – a single digit error in an insurance ID can cost thousands
  • Worked as a Medical Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, or in any Customer Service role in a medical office setting
  • Tech-savvy with medical billing software and EMR systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and can find billing solutions that work for both patients and the clinic
  • Maintain a positive attitude even when dealing with challenging financial conversations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; X-Ray Technician, Medical Assistant or related certification is a plus
  • Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within defined onboarding period

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and market conditions.

Schedule

Full-time with flexible shifts (some evenings/weekends)
