Medical Receptionist - Family Medicine East Hartford

Position Purpose

Are you a friendly, organized professional who loves helping people feel welcomed and cared for? Join our Farmington Primary Care team as a Business Services Representative and become an essential part of our patients’ healthcare experience!

What You Will Do

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills.
• Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products.
• Accuracy and dependability required.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
