Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional appearance and attitude
• Performs clerical and administrative roles
• Promotes a progressive attitude for continued improvement of patient care and customer service
• Tracks inventory for surgical and clinical accessories/supplies
• Maintains confidentiality and safeguards patients' medical records
• Champions a safe, secure, and healthy work environment
• Pre-Operative Charges and collects all payments
• Generates daily invoices while processing financial transactions
• Confirms surgical patient appointments
• Takes pre-operative photos and processes electronic prescriptions
• Verifies patient labs, intake information, and consents
• Prepares patients for surgery
• Performs POC testing
• Chaperones providers during immediate consultations
• Scribes operative reports
• Confirms all surgical procedures
• Edits patient charts, records, and files
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work rotating shifts
• Strong computer literacy skills

Education And Experience

• GED or High School Diploma
• Active Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Plastic Surgery knowledge preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Experience working in an operating room preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• HIPAA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred
• Maintains and holds an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
