The Medical Receptionist position is available at our client's leading private practice in Hamden, CT. This role is essential to the care process and patient experience, involving tasks such as patient scheduling, insurance coordination, and collaboration with various healthcare teams.
Position Overview
The Medical Receptionist works closely with physicians, clinical staff, surgical centers, and X-ray teams. Key responsibilities include using EMR systems to document patient data and executing check-in or pre-op documentation.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma and two or more years of medical administrative or receptionist experience
- EMR knowledge (EPIC preferred)
- Surgical scheduling experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A friendly and courteous demeanor
- Compliance with HIPAA requirements
