About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join their team. This role is part of the Partner for Good initiative aimed at enhancing patient care and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls with a minimum of 93% availability, signing in and out promptly during scheduled hours.
  • Maintain department-specific agent expectations and adhere to defined guidelines and processes.
  • Greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow-up appointments, and manage departmental clerical duties.
  • Provide service support to patients requesting care, ensuring quality service through timely and courteous assistance.

Requirements

  • 6 months related experience
  • Accurate computer/keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
  • Proficiency in using telephone, PC, printer, photo copier, and fax machine

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some medical background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
  • Listening and telephone etiquette skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and structured environment
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to key for long periods of time
