Responsibilities
- Greeting Patients: Welcome patients and visitors professionally, both in person and over the phone.
- Scheduling Appointments: Manage appointment calendars, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff to optimize schedules.
- Maintain and Update Patient Records: Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of patient records.
- Works in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Billing and Payments: Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly. May include collecting copay at time of visit.
- Inquiries and Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide general information.
- Office Management: Ensure the reception area is tidy, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary materials.
- Administrative Support: Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as ordering supplies, managing office inventory, and sending courier packages.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and care.
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Qualifications
- Value-based care model experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology (preferred).
- Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records) (preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
Additional Information
- This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
- If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Pay Range: $38,000 - $45,800 per year
- This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
