Medical Receptionist
About the role
Join our dedicated outpatient team at the Covington clinic, where patient-centered care is our top priority. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, maintaining and updating patient records, and ensuring accurate billing and payments.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
- Schedule appointments, manage appointment calendars, and coordinate with medical staff.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure patient accounts are updated correctly, including collecting copay at the time of visit.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a healthcare setting, or equivalent experience in customer service in retail, hospitality, call centers, etc.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Value-based care model experience.
- Experience with EMR Systems.
