Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician
  • Communicates effectively with physicians and other team members about patient’s clinical condition including patient symptoms and diagnostic study results
  • Consistently meets regulatory requirements and standards for nursing in addition to complying with Triad Complete Healthcare policies and procedures
  • Provides care and communication that meet the needs of each patient and family
  • Completes all patient documentation and charges accurately and timely
  • Facilitates appropriate communication between back office and front office processes that contribute to successful clinic performance
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments as well as accurately gather and document patient demographic information
  • Performs prior authorizations tasks promptly with payers to ensure patient test and procedures are covered. Keep physicians and all appropriate team members informed of insurance authorization delays or non-coverage
  • Maintains an organized work environment; consistently prioritizes work assignments and facilitates timely response to tasks. Utilizes time between patients to review all forms and data entered for completeness and accuracy
  • Acts as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians while communicating effectively with all parties
  • Handles confidential information appropriately

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent; associates degree or higher preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have Certification
  • Ability to receive, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to understand insurance benefits and perform basic mathematical tasks
  • Understand the ethics of confidentiality and HIPPA regulatory requirements
  • Ability to type at least 40WPM
