Answers Incoming Phone Calls

Welcomes patients; updates, verifies, and enters patient demographics, insurance, and billing information and processes forms into appropriate systems.

Registers Patients

• Ensures accuracy
• Facilitates timely discharge
• Maximizes reimbursement

Maintains Financial Assessments and Eligibility

• Updates and verifies patient information
• Ensures clarity and thoroughness of financial assessments, eligibility, and benefits memos

Communicates with Clinical Partners

• Maintains open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments
• Enhances patient experiences

Provides Patient Service

• Maintains a working relationship with clinical partners
• Ensures timely coverage of assigned work area
• Offers prompt patient service and availability for all clinical partners’ registration needs

Performs Specialty Services

• Performs specialty services and duties as requested
• Ensures the smooth operation of the Guest Services departments

Promotes a Safe Work Environment

• Communicates patients' status to appropriate team members
• Keeps patients apprised to maintain effective operational flow

Provides Patient Education

• Provides education to patients regarding test locations, patient portal use, and follow-up (non-clinical) actions

Collects Payments

• Requests co-pays and/or outstanding balance at the time of check-in respectfully but firmly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Education: Associate and/or higher-level education or completed coursework in health services administration or other related medical or business field
• [Preferred]: High School Grad or Equiv
• [Required]: High School Grad or Equivalent Required
• Field Of Study: Associate's Degree in Health Services Administration or other related medical or business field
• [Preferred]: Prior collections experience

Pay Range

• $15.46 - $24.73

Background Screening Requirement

• Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
